What competitions/events are you looking forward to next year'
I am really looking forward to heading back to NZ (New Zealand) for the NZ National SUP Championships and training on some beautiful stretches of coastline, St Tropez for the - SUP Race Cup (European Champs),
Brighton (UK) for the Euro Enduro Paddle Round the Pier Race, Hawaii for the Molokai &
Battle of the Paddle races as well as expedition paddling in amazing locations and running training camps & coaching clinics - the list goes on...!
What was your best day on the ocean this year'
My most memorable paddle didn't take place on the ocean, but on the River Thames Central London,Unofficially claiming the first woman to do soin the process. Let's just say, I stopped a bit of traffic along the way......
The exhilaration of paddling through an extremely turbulent stretch of water, dodging high speed commuter ferries while passing some of the Europe's most famous landmarks definitely made it a Tuesday evening to remember.
What is the craziest thing you experienced this year'
Where to start'!
Almost every race I travelled to this summer involved a bike, a train, a bus (and sometimes a boat or a plane) and a military-style operation to make it to the start line.
When I first got boards to London I was living beside the river, but had to keep trying to hide my board in the garden out of sight of the building porter.
It was 'cloak and dagger' to see if it was still in its hiding place every day when I went out to train.
Carrying it over head 500m down a busy London street at all times of the day and night definitely made for some 'interesting' stares from passers-by trying to work out what was going on.
Paddling in gumboots to keep the rain at bay while during training at the Hamburg World Cup could definitely be added to this list.
It's as much about the journey as it is the destination right''
What Paddling related accomplishment are you most proud of'
2x 2nds in Pro Female class at the Hamburg SUP World Cup and winning the Euro Enduro 20 mile race.
Tell us one thing no-one knows about you.
From 9-5 I transform into a suit and heels and play in the corporate world.
I am also 100% Kiwi - most people mistake me for being Australian!
