Water conditions

Water conditions can greatly influence the stability and performance. Narrower and shorter boards can be ridden in glassy conditions while choppier conditions require wider or longer boards to obtain the same level of stability.
Glassy

Glassy water conditions can be describe as flat water with little or no swell or chop.
Choppy
[?]
Choppy water conditions can be describe as water with uneven swell or wind chop.
Lateral Stability
[?]
Lateral stability describes how "tippy" the board is from side to side and how stable the board will be in choppy or wavy conditions. Lower stability surf oriented boards will offer more maneuverability than more stable boards. Lower stability All Round and Race boards will be faster than wider and more stable boards.
Low

Lower stability boards offer more performance for lighter weight and advanced and Expert / Pro Riders. Low stability boards are not recommend for most Entry Level and many Intermediate paddlers.
Medium

Medium stability board are suitable for most people in most conditions.
High

High stability boards are suited for Entry Level paddlers, heavier paddlers, or those frequently paddling in choppy conditions.
