When did SUP become more then just a hobby for you?
After doing my first 10 mile race on a plastic windsurfer in Malibu, and seeing Laird smoke the entire field.

SUP has given you the chance to travel the world. Out of all travels, which one has been the most memorable?
I'm just getting started, but I would have say, Hamburg Germany, what kool and hip city. And also Puerto Rico, beautiful island, with lots waves.

Who do you respect in SUP?
Of coarse Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama for innovated and spreading the Stoke of StandUpPaddle.

Local So Cal inspirations are: Mickey (The Mongoose) Munoz, for his longevity of youthful thinking and watermans lifestyle. And Chuck Patterson for leading the way, in big wave sup surfing.

What are your 5 most played songs on your IPod? Songs?
Too many! Top 5 bands in my I-pod: Guns and Roses / Breaking Benjamin / Bad Brains / Metalica / Slightly Stoopid.

What inspires you?
Seeing a new sunrise from atop my standup board.

What's your biggest accomplishment in 2009?
Winning the "The Battle Of The Paddle" Long Coarse 12' 6" Class Overall. Getting signed with Starboard. the very same day!

What are your goals for 2010?
To travel the world, racing , surfing, and winning for Starboard!
