On August 25, 2007, the Hawaii Paddleboard Championship (Duke's Race) featured Hawaii's finest watermen and waterwomen in a race, ending at the motherland, Waikiki Beach. The race was from Hawaii Kai, rounding Diamond Head with the finish at the Duke Kahanamoku Statue-Waikiki Beach.
