The first ever UK Stand Up Paddling Championship In the last weekend of September (Sat 29 Sept), the UK will play host to their first ever Stand Up Paddling Championship at Watergate Bay, Newquay. With SUP events proving popular in Hawaii (the origin of SUPing) this will be the first official SUP event Europe. Alongside the event, boards will be available for free trials and demos, giving all people the opportunity to experience one of the fastest growing watersports. In the event competitors of all ages will be competing for points in the surf, with judges scoring riders on moves, speed and creativity The event will also include a long distance paddling section.
